Tourist services
A tourist bus operated by the Gran Canaria Tourist Board
covers all the most significant parts of Las Palmas and
provides information in English during travel.
If you decide to get off the bus, remember there is another
in half an hour or in one hour..... You can get off where
you want and take the next without paying extra.
The bus departures: 09.30 - 10.00 - 10.30 - 11.30 - 12.00 -
12.30 - 14.45 - 15.15 - 15.45 - 16.45 - 17.15 - 17.45. Travel
cards can be bought from Guaguas Municipal's kiosks
around the city.
Local bus
Local bus transportation is functioning well all over the Island.
Bus services provide the cheapest way of getting around the island
and cover a large proportion of its significant destinations as well
as some of the smaller villages. Buses are easily identified by
their green and blue colour and all are clearly marked with their
service number and destination. Frequent and reliable services run
between Puerto Rico, Las Palmas, Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas.
The busses in Las Palmas are yellow.

On the southern part of the Island the busses are green and blue and are
named
Salcai Global.

You buy the ticket direct in the bus, when going into the bus, and
notice, that the chauffer normally doesn't change bills. Therefore
always remember coins to the bus.

BONO -GUAGUA
- A Discount card
A card that
can be purchased to give you multi trips at big discounts.
There are a couple of different versions of this card.
To use
Tell the driver your destination and push the card into the
machine, usually just behind the drivers shoulder to be
printed with the current journey, retrieve the card.
To buy
Check with the
locals where to buy them from, selling outlets include bus
stations, and some cafes, bars and newsagents.
